How to Fix WordPress Stuck in Maintenance Mode

Automated WordPress Update

Disable maintenance mode on your WordPress website using a file transfer protocol (FTP) connection or by accessing your website hosting cPanel account.

Once you’ve gained access, simply remove the “.maintenance” file located within the main directory, usually under your root directory which is usually “public_html“.

Alternatively, you may log into your hosting cPanel account and use the “File Manager” component to remove the “.maintenance” file. Again, this file is located within the main website directory (public_html).
